DHENUKASURA
Dhenukasura headed a band of demons, who took the shape of asses. Together they terrorised Talavan, a forest where an abundance of ripe fruit grew. Lots of fruit fell from the trees and rotted on the forest floor because Dhenukasura and his friends stopped anyone from entering the forest to collect it.
One day, Krishna, Balarama and the cowherd boys went to Talavan to confront Dhenukasura to their presence. Dhenukasura was furious, and he attacked Balarama by kicking His chest.
Grabbing Dhenukasura’s hind legs, Balarama spun him around so fast that the demon’s soul burst out of his body. Balarama then threw Dhenukasura’s body to the top of a palm tree.
Dhenukasura’s ass friends charged at the cowherd boys to retaliate, but Krishna and Balarama killed them in the same way that Balarama had had killed Dhenukasura.
