KANAYA

Two brothers, Hamsa and Kanaya, found the greatest pleasure in tricking each other. It was difficult to gauge which brother was the trickiest.

One afternoon when Kanaya was going out to feed hungry animals, Hamsa tried to scare him. He told his brother to watch out for monkeys, warning him that monkey bites were dangerous.

While wandering the sandy lanes of Vrindavana, a monkey lunged at Kanaya from behind and bit his leg. Worried that he might need lots of painful injections, Kanaya hurried home to check his leg for damage.

Kanaya’s leg was fine, and when he realised that his brother had been duping him, he found a way to get his own back.
