MOTHER YASHODA BINDS LORD KRISHNA 

Mother Yashoda wanted to curb Krishna’s impetuous nature. She felt duty-bound to teach Him to restrain the wild outbursts of anger that occasionally afflicted him.

In an angry moment, Krishna had lashed out and smashed a pot of butter. He had then eaten handfuls of the butter and trampled a good amount of it all over the kitchen floor. Afraid of being chastised for his naughtiness, Krishna had fled the scene.

Mother Yashoda found Him in the courtyard, feeding butter to a group of local monkeys.

This was the final straw! Mother Yashoda was determined to teach Krishna a lesson that He would not forget.
