KRISHNA BREAKS A POT AND MAKES A BUTTERY MESS
One day, Mother Yashoda and baby Krishna sat together in a room used for churning butter. Mother Yashoda had put her churning work aside, and Krishna sat on her lap drinking her breast milk.
In that loving moment of sweet intimacy, they heard the milk on the stove next-door bubbling and hissing in the pot. Mother Yashoda put Krishna aside and hurried into the kitchen to stop the milk from boiling over.
Furious at being abandoned, Krishna smashed his mother’s pot of butter. He then ate some of the butter and trampled the rest all over the floor. Krishna looked at the mess he had made and rushed into the courtyard to escape punishment.
In the courtyard, Krishna jumped onto a grinding mortar and proceeded to feed butter to a band of monkeys that had surrounded Him. Him.
