TRINAVARTA, THE WHIRLWIND DEMON

Trinavarta rushed through the sky from Mathura to Vrindavana to carry out one of Kamsa’s most terrible orders. 

When Trinavarta arrived in Vrindavana, he hovered in the sky and whirled around like a mighty tornado. Whipping up tons of dust, he created blinding darkness and utter chaos. 

Trinavarta then swooped into that dark and dangerous scene. He grabbed littleKrishna and lifted Him onto his shoulders. Then, with the Supreme Personality of Godhead clinging to his neck, Trinavarta spun Krishna higher and higher into the sky. Up they went until the palaces of Vrindavana looked no bigger than matchboxesbeneath them.

Krishna then thwarted Trinavarta’s evil scheme and brought him crashing down to his death.
